New Jersey Devils defenceman John Marino missed the team's practice on Friday after leaving Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury and is considered week-to-week, per head coach Lindy Ruff.
Marino has played a large role in the Devils' success this season, averaging more than 21 minutes of ice time per game.
The 25-year-old has scored three goals and nine points in 32 games this season after being acquired over the summer from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Originally a sixth-round pick of the Edmonton Oilers in 2015, Marino has helped New Jersey surge to fourth place in the Eastern Conference with a 22-9-2 record.
The Devils snapped a six-game losing streak on Wednesday against the Florida Panthers and are set to play the Boston Bruins Friday night in their final game before the holiday break.
