Assistant coach Alain Nasreddine will take over for the Devils’ back-to-back against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Devils will play Toronto at Scotiabank Arena Monday night, then head back to New Jersey to finish the home-and-home against the Leafs before the All-Star break.
This will be Nasreddine’s second stint filling in for Ruff. The 46-year-old took over for three games in late December when Ruff tested positive for COVID-19 and has a 2-1 record behind the bench.
