The New Jersey Devils got some good news at practice with Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton joining the team on the ice Saturday.

Hughes was placed on the COVID-19 protocol list after participating in the league’s All-Star festivities in Las Vegas. He missed three games for the Devils while he was sidelined.
The 20-year-old Hughes has 12 goals and 15 assists in 28 games this season. He was selected by New Jersey with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 draft.
Hamilton was placed on injured reserve after having surgery for a broken jaw. Hamilton was hit in the jaw by a deflected puck against the Washington Capitals. In 30 games this season, the 28-year-old has seven goals and 20 points.
