The New Jersey Devils have signed defenceman Dmitry Kulikov to a one-year deal worth $1.15 million.
Kulikov scored two goals and had eight assists in 51 games last season with the Winnipeg Jets, while averaging 20:01 of ice time per game. The 29-year-old added two assists in four games during the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
“Kulikov is an experienced, physical left-shot defenceman who skates well,” said Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald in a press release. “His ability to play both the right and left side brings value to our defence corps.”
In 677 career NHL contests in 11 seasons with the Florida Panthers, Buffalo Sabres and Jets, Kulikov has recorded 35 goals and 135 assists for 170 points while averaging 19:57 of ice time. The Russian was selected with the 14th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft by the Panthers.
