The New Jersey Devils are signing forward Tomas Tatar, sealing the end of his three-year run with the Montreal Canadiens.
The team confirmed the two-year, $9 million deal via a social media post.

A skilled playmaker, capable of getting the puck to his teammates in contested scoring areas, Tatar scored 10 goals and added 20 assists in 50 games with the Canadiens last season.
But uneven performances led to him regularly being a healthy scratch during the team’s run to the Cup Final, making just five post-season appearances.
The year before, he had 61 points in 68 games.
A former second-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2009, the 31-year-old has 176 goals and 201 assists in 625 games played.
