Dougie Hamilton is returning to the New Jersey Devils lineup just in time for the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Hamilton will suit up for their final regular-season matchup with the Detroit Red Wings at home on Wednesday.
The 31-year-old defenceman has been out with a lower-body injury since March 4 when he collided with Mason Marchment during a 4-3 loss to the Dallas Stars.
The Devils are third in the Metropolitan Division and will face the Carolina Hurricanes in the first round.
Forwards Nico Hischier, Jesper Bratt, Timo Meier, Ondrej Palat and Stefan Noesen will get the night off along with defencemen Luke Hughes, Brett Pesce and Johnathan Kovacevic.
