Ducks acquire Agozzino from Sharks in AHL veteran swap

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired centre Andrew Agozzino from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for blueliner Andrej Sustr, the team announced on Tuesday.

Agozzino, 32, spent the majority of last season with San Jose's AHL affiliate Barracuda. The pivot lead his club in points last year with 61 points in 63 games, and also made a brief NHL cameo where he recorded a goal and two assists in four games.

In exchange, the Ducks send defenceman Andrej Sustr the other direction to San Jose. Sustr split last season between the Minnesota Wild and Anaheim Ducks farm systems, and was part of a package sent back to Anaheim in exchange for John Klingberg.

In 51 AHL games, the Czechia native recorded three goals and 14 points. He is a pending unrestricted free agent.
