The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenceman Jamie Drysdale to a three-year contract worth $6.9 million, the club announced Thursday.
The deal is worth $2.3 million annually, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman.
The 21-year-old was a restricted free agent, and without a deal signed, he has not participated in Ducks' training camp thus far.
“Jamie is a talented young defenceman with a bright future,” general manager Pat Verbeek said. “We are happy this process is complete and look forward to his growth as a valued member of our organization.”
Selected sixth overall by the Ducks in 2020, Drysdale has dressed in 113 games for Anaheim, notching seven goals and 40 points. His 2022-23 campaign was shortened to just eight games after he suffered a torn labrum in his left shoulder last October.
Drysdale and Trevor Zegras, who signed his new contract on Oct. 2, were the two remaining Ducks players that needed contracts ahead of the Oct. 14 season opener.
Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto is now the final RFA in need of a new contract.
