Anaheim Ducks top prospect Olen Zellweger is expected to make his National Hockey League debut on Tuesday night against the Buffalo Sabres.
The 20-year-old defenceman was recalled by the Ducks and took part in their morning skate ahead of Tuesday's contest.
Zellweger, a Calgary native, was drafted by the team in the second round (34th overall) of the 2021 NHL Draft.
In his first professional season, Zellweger has eight goals and 17 assists for 25 points in 34 games with the AHL's San Diego Gulls.
The rookie is set to represent the Gulls at the 2024 AHL All-Star Classic, taking place Feb. 4-5 in San Jose, Calif.
