The Anaheim Ducks have signed defenceman Stian Solberg to a three-year, entry-level contract.
Solberg, 18, was selected by the Ducks as the 23rd overall pick at the 2024 NHL Draft.
From Oslo, Norway, Solberg spent the 2023-24 season with Valerenga of the Eliteserien, recording five goals and 10 assists for 15 points.
Solberg is one of only two Norwegian players ever drafted in the first round, following Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, who was selected 15th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in 2024.
