Winnipeg Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers will return to the lineup for the must-win Game 5 against the Vegas Golden Knights, the team announced.
Ehlers was listed as a game-time decision before the game and expressed the desire to slot back into the lineup on Wednesday.
"This is what you work for in the off-season and what you work for, pre-season and throughout the whole regular season,” Ehlers told reporters on Wednesday. "So, I want to be out there and help the team, and I haven't been able to do that."
Ehlers has not yet played in the playoffs after being injured on a hit from the Minnesota Wild's Ryan Hartman in the last week of the season.
He had 12 goals and 38 points in 45 games this season.
The Jets trail the Golden Knights 3-1 and will look to extend their season with a win in Vegas Thursday night.
Fans can watch the game on Sportsnet and SN NOW, beginning at 10 p.m. ET / 9 p.m. CT.
