Calgary Flames forward A.J. Greer was forced to leave Thursday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets after his left leg collided awkwardly with the boards.
Greer got his legs tangled up with Blue Jackets defenceman Jake Bean before jamming his left skate into the boards. He was forced to leave the ice and was not putting any weight on his left leg.
To add insult to injury, the Flames forward was also assessed a tripping penalty for the play and went on to lose the game 5-2.
Greer has six goals and four assists in 46 games this season.
