Flames acquire defenceman Nikita Zadorov from Blackhawks

The Calgary Flames have acquired defenceman Nikita Zadorov from the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Blackhawks in return will receive the third-round draft pick that the Flames got from Toronto in the David Rittich deal.

Zadorov, 26, is a physical defenceman who is frequently among the league leaders in hits. Last season he had one goal, eight points and 190 hits in 55 games.

He has appeared in 411 career games with the Sabres, Avalanche and Blackhawks.
