Calgary Flames defenceman Christopher Tanev will miss Tuesday's road game against the Anaheim Ducks due to an upper-body injury.
Tanev has one goal and 12 assists in 61 games with the Flames this season.
Dennis Gilbert will draw into the lineup for Tanev while veteran forward Milan Lucic will also play in favour of rookie Jakob Pelletier.
Calgary (31-25-15, 77 points) will look to erase the memories of Monday's 8-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings and keep its playoff hopes alive. The Flames, fifth in the Pacific Division, are four points out of a wild-card spot with 11 games left in the regular season.
Dan Vladar is expected to start in net against the Ducks, who were officially eliminated from playoff contention with their 2-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks this past Sunday.
