Calgary Flames forward Dillon Dube will not be in the team's lineup Wednesday against the Dallas Stars, head coach Ryan Huska told reporters.
Dube was not on the ice for the team's optional skate.
Huska said defenceman Nikita Zadorov is good to go and will play against the Stars.
Dube, 25, has one goal and two assists in nine games.
The Flames, who have scored just three goals in their past three games, called up top AHL scorer Connor Zary on Tuesday in hopes of sparking their offence. Zary leads all Calgary Wranglers players, with 10 points in six games this season, and had 58 points in 72 games last season.
Calgary's 2-6-1 start has caused them to pause all contract talks with their stars, according to Sportsnet's Eric Francis.
You can watch the Flames try to right the ship against the Stars, live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ at 8:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT.
