Tyson Barrie's time with the Calgary Flames may be coming to a close.
The team placed the defenceman on waivers Thursday after just 13 games with the Flames, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reported.
Barrie has not joined the Flames for practice following the 4 Nations Face-Off break.
The 33-year-old signed a one-year contract with the Flames ahead of the regular season after he was granted a professional try-out. He has one goal and two assists and has averaged 15:48 time on ice throughout his 13 games.
Prior to joining the Flames, Barrie spent time with the Nashville Predators, Edmonton Oilers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Colorado Avalanche.
