Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil was forced to leave Monday's game at the men's World Championship between Slovakia and Sweden with an injury.
The Slovakian forward tried to lay a hit behind the net but appeared to slip and then slide into the boards. He was holding his left shoulder/arm as he left the ice hunched over.
Per reports, an x-ray following the game did not reveal a fracture or dislocation, though Pospisil does have an MRI scheduled for Wednesday.
In six games, Pospisil has three goals and four assists for Slovakia so far during the tournament.
The 24-year-old centre notched eight goals and 24 points during his rookie season in Calgary.
