Calgary Flames forward Martin Pospisil got some positive news on Friday.
After suffering a shoulder injury at the men's World Championship on Monday, Flames GM Craig Conroy told Sportsnet 960 that Pospisil's MRI came back with good news.
The Slovakian forward should be healed in around two weeks and the injury won't disrupt his off-season training.
Pospisil suffered the injury in Slovakia's game against Sweden when he tried to lay a hit behind the net but appeared to slip and then slide into the boards. He was holding his left shoulder/arm as he left the ice hunched over.
The 24-year-old had three goals and four assists in seven games for Slovakia before the injury.
In 2023-24 with the Flames, his rookie season, Pospisil notched eight goals and 24 points.
