One of the Calgary Flames promising rookies will be sidelined for a while.
The team announced that Samuel Honzek is out week-to-week after suffering an upper-body injury.
The 19-year-old was hit by Chicago Blackhawks defenceman Connor Murphy along the boards, which forced him to leave Tuesday's game.
While he hasn't registered a point in four games to start the year, the Slovakian winger led the team pre-season scoring with a goal and six points in four games.
Honzek spent last season in the WHL with the Vancouver Giants, scoring 10 goals and 31 points in 33 games.
Calgary selected Honzek in 16th overall in the 2023 NHL Draft.
