Flames' Justin Kirkland exits vs. Blue Jackets with lower-body injury

Calgary Flames forward Justin Kirkland exited Friday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets with a lower-body injury, the team announced.

Kirkland exited in the first period and did not join his team on the bench at the start of the second. The specific moment where the injury occurred is unclear.

Kirkland had logged 1:05 of ice time up to that point in the game with one hit.

Entering play on Friday, Kirkland had registered two goals and six assists in 20 games in the 2024-25 season.
