Calgary Flames forward Andrei Kuzmenko will be sidelined against the Los Angeles Kings with illness for his second consecutive game, but the team expects him back in the lineup on Saturday, head coach Ryan Huska told reporters.
Kuzmenko participated in morning skate on Tuesday and practised with the team on Monday, but Huska said the winger was too under the weather to participate in game action.
The 28-year-old Russian missed Saturday's outing against the Edmonton Oilers with illness.
Kuzmenko was traded to Calgary as part of the package that sent Elias Lindholm to the Vancouver Canucks over the all-star break. In eight outings for the Flames, he has three goals and one assist.
