Calgary Flames defenceman Oliver Kylington returned to the ice Friday after missing the entire 2022-23 season for personal reasons.
There is no timeline for his return, according to head coach Ryan Huska.
“There is nothing imminent there," Huska said of Kylingtons's return to the active roster. "But it was a good feeling for us to see him around the room today.
"We haven’t seen much of him lately so it’s nice to see him back, skating with a small group of guys. We’re all hopeful he can continue to progress as we go but there’s no timeline."
Kylington was on the ice with a small group of players in Calgary at Max Bell Centre.
After missing last season, Kylington, 26, did not participate in this year's training camp due to a "private personal matter."
Kylington, a native of Stockholm, Sweden, played in a career-high 73 games in 2021-22, scoring 31 points and posting a plus-34.
In August 2022, Calgary signed Kylington to a two-year contract with an average annual value of $2.5 million.
