Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund was forced to leave Saturday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks with a lower-body injury.
Backlund left the game late in the first period and did not return to the bench in the second period. The 31-year-old came into the game with four points in his last three games.
In 13 games this season, Backlund has eight points and is averaging 17:07 time on ice per game.
