Less than an hour after he was traded to the Calgary Flames, defenceman Daniil Miromanov agreed to a two-year, $2.5 million contract extension with the club on Friday.
Miromanov was acquired in the deal sending Noah Hanifin to the Vegas Golden Knights.
Miromanov, 26, returned to game action in January after undergoing knee surgery last year.
The Russian had one goal and five assists in six games with AHL Henderson and no points in four games with the Golden Knights.
Vegas signed Miromanov as an undrafted free agent in 2021 after he spent a year in the KHL.
Miromanov played junior hockey in the QMJHL with Acadie-Bathurst and Moncton.
