The Calgary Flames are shuffling up their forward group.
Justin Kirkland was placed on injured reserve and Adam Klapka was re-assigned to the AHL Calgary Wranglers while Jakob Pelletier and Walker Duehr were recalled to the NHL club, the team announced on Monday.
Kirkland, who had registered two goals and six assists in 20 games this season, left Friday's game against Columbus with a lower-body injury and missed the contest against Pittsburgh the following night.
Klapka, 24, appeared in six games with the Flames, failing to record a point while compiling eight penalty minutes.
Meanwhile, Pelletier and Duehr could be set for their season debuts in the NHL.
Pelletier, a first-round pick in 2019, has 19 points in 20 AHL games on the season. He played 37 NHL games, all with Calgary, over the prior two campaigns.
Duehr, 27, has matched Pelletier with 19 points in 20 AHL contests. In 68 career games with Flames, he's recorded nine goals and nine assists.
The Flames return to action Tuesday when they host the Blue Jackets.
