Flames re-sign Clark Bishop to two-year, two-way contract

The Calgary Flames have re-signed forward Clark Bishop to a two-year, two-way contract, the team announced Wednesday.

The deal carries an AAV of $775,000 in the NHL and $275,000 in the minors, though Bishop has a guaranteed salary of $300,000 for the 2023-24 season and $325,000 for the 2024-25 season.

The 27-year-old has played 47 NHL games throughout his career, split between the Carolina Hurricanes and Ottawa Senators, collecting eight points (one goal and seven assists). He spent the entirety of the 2022-23 season with the AHL's Calgary Wranglers, recording 23 points (11 goals and 12 assists) in 64 appearances.

Bishop, a St. John's, N.L. native, was drafted by the Hurricanes in the fifth round (127th overall) at the 2014 NHL Draft.
