Ilya Solovyov is staying with the Calgary Flames for two more years.
The Flames announced Wednesday that they have agreed to a two-year contract with the 24-year-old defenceman on a deal that carries an annual average value of $775,000.
Solovyov, a seventh-round pick of Calgary in 2020, made his NHL debut last season, picking up three assists in 10 NHL games.
The left-shot defenceman spent most of the year with the Calgary Wranglers in the AHL, scoring five goals and 15 points over 51 games.
The Mogilev, Belarus native has skated in 170 career AHL games, totalling 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points while posting a plus-25 rating.
