The Calgary Flames have recalled forward Matt Coronato from the AHL's Calgary Wranglers, the NHL team announced on Saturday.
In 14 games in the AHL with the Wranglers, Coronato has eight goals and 18 points ranking fifth among rookies in the AHL.
In the NHL, Coronato has struggled to score as a rookie, recording two points and a minus-9 in 10 games.
The Harvard product was a first-round pick by the Flames (13th overall) in 2021.
The Flames also placed goaltender Jacob Markstrom on injury reserve. Markstrom has been sidelined week-to-week with a broken finger he suffered in practice on Dec. 4.
