The Calgary Flames have recalled goaltender Dustin Wolf from AHL Calgary as backup Dan Vladar heads to injured reserve with a lower-body injury, the team announced Friday.
The 22-year-old Wolf has appeared in five games for the Flames this season, posting one win with a save percentage of .893 and a goals-against average of 3.46.
He's spent the majority of the season with the AHL Wranglers, where he's played 28 games with a record of 18-7 and a save percentage of .927.
Wolf was selected in the seventh round by the Flames in the 2019 NHL Draft.
Vladar, 26, has played in 16 games this season as the backup, with a save percentage of .888 and a 3.27 goals-against average.
It's unclear how Vladar was injured as he last suited up on Jan. 20 and has been practicing with the team.
Vladar started his career with the Boston Bruins before being traded to the Flames in 2021 in exchange for a second-round pick. He signed a two-year, $4.4-million contract extension with the Flames in October 2022 and has one season left before free agency.
The Flames take on the New York Islanders in a Saturday afternoon tilt. Catch all the action on Sportsnet or Sportsnet+ at 1 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. MT.
