Calgary Flames rookie Connor Zary will not play in Wednesday's game against the Nashville Predators and is being listed as day to day with a lower-body injury, the team announced.
Zary barely played in the third period of Monday's win over the Seattle Kraken and head coach Ryan Huska told reporters on Wednesday that the youngster is a "little banged up."
The 22-year-old forward has three goals and five assists in nine games for the Flames this season.
Zary and fellow rookie Martin Pospisil have infused some life into a Flames team that struggled to start the season. The Flames had won three of their past four games and picked up at least a point in seven of the past eight heading into Wednesday's game against the Nashville Predators
