The Calgary Flames announced Friday that forward Kevin Rooney has been assigned to AHL affiliate Calgary Wranglers.
The Flames also announced that the team recalled forward Radim Zohorna.
The moves come one day after the Flames recalled Matthew Phillips from the Wranglers.
Rooney scored one point in 17 games with the Flames in 2022 after signing a two-year, $2.6 million deal in the off-season.
Zohorna has 16 points in 20 games, including five goals with the Wranglers this year. He has played in 25 NHL games over the last two seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, totalling four goals and 10 points.
The Flames play Friday in Columbus against Johnny Gaudreau and the Blue Jackets.
