The Calgary Flames have signed defenceman Jeremie Poirier to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Poirier, 19, produced nine goals and 28 assists in 33 games with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL last season. In 2019-20, he scored 20 goals to lead all blue-liners in the league.
The Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Que., native was selected 72nd overall by the Flames at the 2020 NHL Draft.
