Flames sign defenceman Nikita Zadorov to a one-year contract extension

The Calgary Flames signed defenceman Nikita Zadorov to a one-year extension.

The deal is worth $3.75 million and Zadorov will be an unrestricted free agent after the 2021-22 NHL season.

The 26-year-old played 55 games last season with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he recorded one goal and seven assists.

He was traded to the Flames in July for a third-round pick.
