Calgary Flames goaltender Dan Vladar wore a new mask that honours Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau for Friday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Vladar will also wear the mask for Calgary's home game against the Blue Jackets next Tuesday. After both games are played, the mask will be auctioned off for the Flames Foundation.
Johnny and Matthew were killed in August when an alleged drunk driver struck them as they rode their bikes in Oldmans Township, N.J.
Vladar played alongside Johnny Gaudreau on the Flames during the 2021-22 season.
The Flames have invited the Gaudreau family to the game in Calgary on Tuesday and will fly them into the city to be part of a night honouring Johnny and Matthew.
