The Calgary Flames will be nearly at full strength when they take on the Seattle Kraken on Tuesday.
After one-game absences, both defenceman MacKenzie Weegar and forward Joel Farabee will return to the lineup against the Kraken, Flames head coach Ryan Huska told reporters.
Weegar missed Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils with a lower-body injury, while Farabee was out due to an illness.
Weegar, 31, has appeared in 68 games this season, recording seven goals and 41 points while averaging a career-high 23:53 of ice time.
Farabee, 25, has 24 points (11 goals and 13 assists) in 68 games with the Flames and the Philadelphia Flyers, who traded him to Calgary back on Jan. 30.
Unfortunately for the Flames, they will likely still be without the services of their captain, as Huska said Mikael Backlund is not expected to return against the Kraken.
Backlund returned to practice on Monday for the first time since suffering an upper-body injury on March 12 against the Vancouver Canucks.
The 36-year-old centre has 11 goals and 13 assists in 64 games played this season.
Star rookie netminder Dustin Wolf will get the start versus Seattle.
The Flames enter Tuesday's action four points behind the St. Louis Blues for the West's final wild-card spot with three games in hand. The Blues take on the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday.
