The Philadelphia Flyers will try to continue their surprising start to the season without two important players.
The Flyers announced goaltender Carter Hart (mid-body) and centre Sean Couturier (lower-body) are both day-to-day with injuries and unlikely to play Friday against the Buffalo Sabres.
Hart was injured early in Wednesday's game, also against the Sabres, after players from both teams crashed the net looking for a rebound. He had to leave the game, a 5-2 loss, and was replaced by Sam Ersson.
Hart was in the midst of a bounce-back season before his injury, posting a 4-3-0 record with a .913 save percentage in eight starts.
Not much is know about Couturier's injury, although Anthony SanFilippo of Crossing Broad reports the issue is not related the back injury that kept Couturier out of the lineup for almost two calendar years.
Couturier is also in the midst of a big bounce back after recovering from that back injury, posting eight points in 10 games this season.
The Flyers visit the Sabres on Friday and then host the Kings on Saturday this weekend.
