Philadelphia Flyers forward Joel Farabee had successful disc replacement surgery on his neck, the team announced Friday.
Farabee could miss the start of next season as he's expected to be out for three to four months.
The 22-year-old from Syracuse, N.Y., recorded 17 goals and 34 points in 63 games last season after signing a six-year, $30 million contract extension.
Drafted 14th overall by Philadelphia in 2018, Farabee has 45 goals and 93 points in three seasons with the Flyers.
