The Philadelphia Flyers are breathing a sigh of relief.
Goaltender Dan Vladar is considered day-to-day after exiting a pre-season game Tuesday with an upper-body injury, coach Rick Tocchet told reporters on Wednesday, per Jordan Hall of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
Vladar was hurt in the first period when he had a collision with Boston Bruins forward Tanner Jeannot.
The former Calgary Flame was favouring his right arm afterward.
Vladar went 29-14-7, with a 2.42 goals-against average and a .906 save percentage last season, helping the Flyers reach the playoffs for the first time since 2020. Philly beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in the first round before falling to the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Czechia native signed a five-year, $27.5-million contract extension with the Flyers in the summer.
Joseph Woll, acquired from the Toronto Maple Leafs in the off-season, is Philly's other goalie.
The Flyers open their regular season next Wednesday against the visiting Penguins.
