The Philadelphia Flyers are the latest team to be impacted by COVID protocols after forward Morgan Frost was lifted from Tuesday’s win over the New Jersey Devils.
Frost only skated for 1:12 of ice time in the 6-1 win and didn’t join his teammates on the bench after the first intermission. Head coach Mike Yeo confirmed after the game that Frost was forced to leave due to COVID protocols.
The news comes on a day when seven other teams added players to protocols, including Islanders star Mat Barzal and Bruins star Brad Marchand, among others. In addition to that, the NHL has postponed four games this week due to outbreaks within the Flames and Hurricanes organizations.
Frost opened the season in the AHL but has four points in 10 games since being recalled to the NHL in late November.
