The Philadelphia Flyers say Sean Couturier will not need surgery for a back injury and remains week-to-week.
The announcement comes after the star centre reportedly re-aggravated the back injury during strength and conditioning drills. The decision to not have surgery comes after he sought a second opinion on the injury.
Couturier was limited to only 29 games last season due to a back injury and had surgery in February.
