The Philadelphia Flyers have signed forward Joel Farabee to a six-year, $30-million contract extension, the team announced Thursday.
The deal carries an average annual value of $5 million and kicks in with the 2022-23 season.
The 21-year-old has season remaining on the three-year, entry-level deal he signed with the Flyers in 2019.
Farabee, the 14th pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, had a breakout 2020-21, nearly doubling his rookie totals with 38 points in 55 games, including a team-leading 20 goals.
The six-foot, 164-pound left winger put up 21 points in 52 games as a freshman in 2019-20.
