Flyers' Tippett, Ristolainen available to return Saturday vs. Oilers

The Philadelphia Flyers might have some reinforcements Saturday afternoon, when they take on the Edmonton Oilers.

The Flyers announced Friday that forwards Owen Tippett and Ryan Poehling plus defencemen Rasmus Ristolainen and Egor Zamula will all be available to return to the lineup.

Tippett missed five games before the 4 Nations Face-Off break due to an upper-body injury. The 26-year-old from Peterborough, Ont., is third on the team in scoring with 30 points (14 goals and 16 assists) in 52 games.

Ristolainen was slated to play for Finland during the 4 Nations Face-Off but missed the tournament due to an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old has 15 points (two goals and 13 assists) in 54 games this season and is averaging 20:31 of ice time.

With the Flyers at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division and eight points back of a playoff spot, Ristolainen could be on the move before the trade deadline on March 7.

Poehling and Zamula were also out of the lineup with upper-body injuries.

The Flyers (24-26-7) will look to get out of the Metropolitan basement when they host the Pacific-leading Oilers (34-17-4).

Watch the game live Saturday on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, starting at 1 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. MT.
