Owen Tippett is going to remember the name Brenden Dillon.
The Philadelphia Flyers forward was ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the New Jersey Devils after being on the receiving end of a huge open-ice hit by Dillon.
The hit occurred at the beginning of the second period when Dillon caught Tippett with his head turned toward his own end at centre ice. After the hit, the Flyers came to Tippett's defence, but no penalties were assessed as a result of the play.
Tippett immediately headed to the team's locker room and then the team ruled him out for the remainder of the game in the third period.
The 25-year-old forward came into Wednesday's game with 14 goals and 16 assists in 51 games with the Flyers this season.
Tippett was selected 10th overall by the Florida Panthers in the 2017 NHL Draft.
