The Philadelphia Flyers have avoided arbitration with forward Zack MacEwen, settling on a one-year contract worth $925,000.
MacEwen's salary arbitration hearing with the team was scheduled to take place on Aug. 8.
The 26-year-old played in 75 games for the Flyers during the 2021-2022 season, totalling three goals, six assists, 110 penalty minutes, and a minus-15 rating.
Prior to his time in Philadelphia, MacEwen spent four seasons in the Vancouver Canucks organization. Across the three seasons in which he appeared at the NHL level, MacEwen collected nine points in 55 games with the club.
At the deal's expiry next summer, MacEwen will once again become a restricted free agent with arbitration rights.
