The Vegas Golden Knights have recalled goaltender Jiri Patera from the Henderson Silver Knights after Adin Hill was injured against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday.
According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Hill, who was forced to leave Saturday's game in the third period due to injury, will not travel with the Golden Knights to start the four-game road trip against St. Louis, Nashville, Winnipeg and Minnesota.
Hill, 27, appeared to suffer the injury after he stretched out to make a left-pad save on a shot from Blue Jackets forward Cole Sillinger.
The netminder subsequently headed down the tunnel and was replaced by backup Logan Thompson. Vegas led 3-1 at the time of his injury.
After the team's 4-2 win, Golden Knights coach Bruce Cassidy told reporters Hill came to the bench and said he was not 100 per cent, per Jesse Granger of The Athletic. He had no further update.
For the Golden Knights this season, Patera has played five games with a save percentage of .901 and goals-against average of 3.75.
With the Silver Knights, the Czech goaltender has a .902 save percentage and a 3.04 goals-against average in 24 games.
The reigning Stanley Cup champion Golden Knights currently hold the second wild-card spot in the Western Conference.
