Vegas Golden Knights forward Ryan Reaves will have a hearing Saturday for an illegal check to the head on Vancouver Canucks forward Tyler Motte.
Reaves was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct late in the second after he caught Motte with a high hit that left the Canucks forward shaken up on the ice. Motte would eventually return to the game.
The Golden Knights would go on to kill the penalty and win Game 7 by a score of 3-0 to advance to the Western Conference Final where they will take on the Dallas Stars.
The 33-year-old was suspended for three games back in 2016 for boarding San Jose Sharks defenceman Matt Tennyson. In 2019, he was fined $2,500 for high sticking Sharks forward Joe Thornton and as well as $3,024.19 in 2015 for roughing Los Angeles Kings forward Anze Kopitar.
