The Vegas Golden Knights have added another veteran presence to their roster.
The team announced Friday that forward Tanner Pearson has been signed to a one-year contract worth $775,000.
The 32-year-old joined Vegas for pre-season and training camp on a professional tryout agreement.
A native of Kitchener, Ont., Pearson has played 12 season in the NHL with the Los Angeles Kings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vancouver Canucks and Montreal Canadiens. Across 644 career games, he has amassed 138 goals and 147 assists for a total of 285 points.
Pearson recorded 13 points (five goals and eight assists) last season with the Canadiens over 54 games. He missed a chunk of the season due to injury.
A former Stanley Cup champion with Los Angeles in 2014, Pearson was drafted by the Kings as the 30th overall pick in 2012.
