William Karlsson will return to the ice on Saturday night.

Vegas Golden Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy announced that the 31-year-old centre will make his season debut in their game against the San Jose Sharks.

Karlsson had missed the team’s first eight games of the season due to an undisclosed injury he had been dealing with since training camp.

The native of Märsta, Sweden, had 30 goals and 30 assists in 70 regular-season games last season with Vegas and added another two assists in seven playoff appearances.

Karlsson is expected to slot into a middle-six role and help out on the second power-play unit.
