Liam O'Brien inked a three-year extension with the Utah Hockey Club on Wednesday, the team announced.
CapFriendly reports the average annual value at $1 million.
O’Brien, 29, finished 20th in the league last season in hits, laying the body a career-high 229 times over 75 games with the Arizona Coyotes.
The undrafted centre became a mainstay in the Coyotes' lineup last season for his physical play, with his 14 points also becoming a career-high.
O’Brien was signed as a free agent by the Washington Capitals in 2014, splitting time between the NHL squad and its AHL affiliate, the Hershey Bears, before signing with Colorado in 2021.
He appeared in 13 games for the Avs before striking a deal with Arizona in the 2021 off-season.
