Hurricanes acquire forward Max Domi from Blue Jackets for prospect

The Carolina Hurricanes have acquired forward Max Domi from the Columbus Blue Jackets for prospect Aidan Hreschuk.

Domi has eight goals in 35 games this season and is a pending unrestricted free agent with a $5.3 million cap hit. Domi was initially selected 12th overall by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2015 NHL Draft.

Hreschuk was selected in the third round of the 2021 NHL Draft and is in his first season at Boston College. The 19-year-old defenceman has a goal and eight points.
